During physical exertion such as training, competition, or high temperatures, the horse’s body regulates core body temperature through sweating. In addition to water, the horse also excretes large amounts of electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, and chloride. These minerals are drawn from the body’s reserves. If these losses are not compensated, the horse’s willingness to perform may be reduced.

Feeding Recommendation

Per animal per day:

Horses (~1322.77 lb):
- Light work: 30 ml → 1.01 fl oz
- Medium work: 50 ml → 1.69 fl oz
- Heavy work: 70 ml → 2.37 fl oz
Ponies (~661.39 lb):
- 30 ml → 1.01 fl oz

Withdrawal period according to ADMR: none
Water: Fresh, not too cold water should always be available in sufficient quantities.
Usage: Use as needed. Isotonic can be used daily.
